For several hundred years (?), people have feared and admired the magnificent Bigfoot. He has conquered far and wide, big and small, leaving his mark everywhere that he goes with his monstrous footprint. He was undetectable for a long stretch of time until just recently, when the sinister reason for his disappearance was revealed. My story details the reemergence of Bigfoot and the revenge campaign he begins.
While I am no great story teller, this tale basically writes itself due to the magnitude of people who face the repercussions of the formidable Bigfoot and the devastating impact of said consequences. While it follows the titular Bigfoot’s escapade in Boston, as so clearly presented by the title, there are two other key role players to this tale that must be introduced. For most of their lives, Courtney Klich and Molly Dickerson felt out of place wherever they were. They were living separate but parallel lives to each other. Everywhere they went, they were excluded and mocked for being too perfect and funny. People constantly criticized them as presenting unrealistic beauty standards, and they were shunned after revealing that they had never had work done. Their intelligence further isolated them, as none of their peers could keep up with their wits. The two faced hardship that no one would want to encounter.
Not to their knowledge, their obstacles stem from their uncommon origins. Molly and Courtney were placed in Arizona and Virginia, respectively, but they were aliens whose families had just barely escaped the planet Glorp as it became enveloped in lava. While they were alive, they did not have much to show for it, as their spacecraft was small and limited in its survival supplies. Their families were running out of resources and as a last resort sent Molly and Courtney to new, human families in hope of them having long and prosperous lives. Before doing this, each of their parents wiped their memories so they would have no recollection of their previous lives, including their friendship. This brings us to the next development in our tale, the 2023 Nike internship in Beaverton, Oregon, where the world brought the last two Glorpouses back together…
By an uncanny “coincidence” these two specimens were selected to dedicate 10 weeks of their precious time on Earth to generate shareholder wealth for the footwear and retail company Nike Inc. The carefully calculated interaction wrapped up as “fate” crossed their paths at the entrance to the extravagant campus. Upon a simple friendly idioms exchanged, the pair had not a clue of the mission that lie before them.
M&C spent every spare minute outside their professional pursuits and drunken adventures diligently strategizing a framework for catching the slippery creature known as Big Foot (alternative alias “sasquatch”) on his home turf of the great woods and forestry blanketing the vast Pacific North West. The girls were perplexed by the conclusion they neared with each new week of artifacts and evidence… BF had escaped these treacherous landscapes for the comfort of the concrete jungle (and I’m not talking about New York City)
The dynamic duo shared a tearful goodbye as they returned to their academic institutions for the remainder of their undergraduate degrees. Molly, in Boston without her right-hand archivist, patiently paused the hunt and focused on securing a steady source of income for the following summer. Courtney in the great southern Raleigh, North Carolina, schemed and plotted a devious yet remarkable relocation plan to arrive in Bean Town, USA come fall 2024. This mischievous pair of extraneous humanoids were the only ones on the planet to have a shot at snatching up the one and the only… BigFoot.
